Babies are Awesome!!!

Doulas at Large was very supportive and helpful throughout my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. She always respected my needs and requests while also helping us navigate this new experience (new parents here!). During our sessions, Doulas at Large walked us through everything from the birth plan to postpartum recovery, breastfeeding basics, etc. We also hired Doulas at Large as our postpartum doula for the first couple of weeks. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for their support during those first days. She was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, caring, and kind. She helped me with breastfeeding, was there to walk us through our baby’s first bath, taught us how to use the baby carrier, and more. I enjoyed their company very much and felt more confident and secure because she was around. I would use them again. Thank you, Doulas at Large!

When I found out I was pregnant with my 10th child, I immediately started to worry about the birthing process because my last birth was a C-Section. The fear and apprehension were intense because that pain was crazy! As my pregnancy progressed and my fear of being cut again, I decided to investigate a doula for guidance. I was so glad to find Doulas at Large and met with them for the first time. I immediately knew this was something I could do! Their patience, coaching leading up to my delivery, and the 24 hours they spent with us in the delivery room were incredible. They brought light to my situation and protected me from getting cut, and I had my child naturally. I can now look back on delivering my son with pride and happy memories!

Last January, my husband and I had our baby and are so grateful we had Doulas at Large’s support. Their experience and attitude towards birth appealed to us, and I was happy that she and my husband got on well since it was important to me that he felt fully included. I think Doulas at Large is very patient and made sure my husband felt supported in his role. They were with me during all my prenatal checkups, so it was nice having Doulas at Large as a constant presence through the pregnancy. She checked in with us often and sent helpful information and videos. As our due date approached, she helped us develop our birth preferences and was able to offer insightful advice without any judgment. She also put my needs before that of the physicians. As a result, I was stuck to my birthing plan and had two COVID kids naturally without any C-Section! 

Doulas at Large’s services were a tremendous help for me, and I recommend them. I wanted a doula to help me navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Doulas at Large was there for us every step of the way. She is SO knowledgeable, compassionate, open-minded, kind, and helpful. I can’t imagine going through my birth without them. Doulas at Large helped get me through many challenging moments during labor, and I am so grateful. Even the post partum care helped me feel like I was not in this alone. I had support not only for my baby but for me too!  I cannot thank Doulas at Large enough!

Giving birth is an experience that is unexplainable. After 2 days of labor and 6 pushes, on July 28th at 11:54am I gave birth to my baby boy. I am so grateful for my birthing team. To my husband thank you for your endless love and support. Thank you to my mom who knows me better than I know myself, and always knows what to do to keep me encouraged. And lastly, thank you to Doulas at Large for helping me prepare for this day and advocating for me. 

Doulas at Large ensured not only our safety but star of mind. Childbirth is scary for anyone but we were glad to have advocates on our side!
